This is marvelous and I wish we had time to go into detail, we don’t. The immaculate conception of Mary that is she is free from original sin, her sinlessness throughout her life, her perpetual virginity. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross! Well, Mary didn’t have such a thought. She never left the temple served night and day with fastings and prayers. He put aside these glories (but not His essence!) That’s the difference between those who really have the Christmas spirit and those who don’t. Down in verse 20, we get the shepherds response,  “And the shepherds went back glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.”  Down in verse 25, we meet another unique individual attending to the period of the birth of Christ named Simeon. It shines out with stark clarity in the lives of those who possess it. That’s a component of it. If you’re like me, you have heard the world’s comments and evaluations of this time of the year. Guest. Were not going to do it [take them down], its the Christmas spirit. He knew Peter would deny Him exactly three times before dawn (Mark 14:29-30). Omnipotence, that he’s all-powerful and all mighty and that there is nothing that he can’t do and that he’s immutable, that is he never changes. The one person most directly touched by this birth, not other than his mother Mary. This makes it a joyful season for true believers. The Christian doctrine of the omnipresence of God is: all of God in all places at all times. Thirdly and lastly, the cause of worship. The essence of true spirituality is not to think you have it. We must, therefore, appreciate the real meaning and embrace its true spirit: Giving In order to embrace the true meaning of Christmas, we need to reach down within ourselves and be willing to give ourselves and others our love. You can express your heart’s desire to put your trust in him right now, using this prayer as your guide, if that helps…. And holy is his name.
